01

Committee Chair

I am the Committee Chair for Cub Scout Pack 169 Forest Grove. This role is largely volunteer coordination. I recruit adults to serve as leaders within the pack, ensuring they receive appropriate training and support to fulfill their roles. I manage the committee, make sure projects are done and goals are met. I am also responsible for maintaining the schedule of events, recruitment activities and the paperwork required to maintianing our charter. I manage interpersonal conflicts between leaders and keep everyone working together toward a common goal.

02

Den Leader

I am Den Leader for a combined Bear (third grade) and Wolf (second grade) den. I lead scouts through activities to build their understanding of personal safety, outdoors skills, conservation, community, personal fitness, and STEAM skills. Because the den combines two years, I am coordinating leason plans to match complimentary activities and ensure all of the core requirements are met. I work with parents to help scouts work on skills at home and keep engaged in scouting values.

Advancement Coordinator

I am the Advancement Coordinator for Troop 213 (boys) and Troop 5213 (girls). My role is to make sure all scouts are recognized for their accomplishments in scouting and stay on track to earn their ranks. Scouts can earn up to seven ranks through Eagle, the highest award a scout can earn. They can also earn up to 135 different merit badges focused on perparing them to be useful, productive members of society and exploring careers.

04

Merit Badge Counselor

I am a merit badge counselor for 32 different merit badges reflecting my life experience, interests and skills. Merit badges offer scouts the opportunity to explore a skill or topic in a meaningful way. These activities can introduce scouts to new interests, valueable experiences and future job interests. Merit badges also help scouts learn to network and seek out mentors.
